Thanks to the talents and commitment of Susan Wong Lim & Jesse Kumagai, as well as the other teachers at Jean Lyons School of Music, Ms. Lyons' legacy of excellence in teaching musical performance remains intact and strong. You will be hard pressed to find another music school whose educators are as experienced at teaching our youth and adults alike. Learn more about JLSM on The Canadian Encyclopedia!

Look up Alexina Louie, one of Canada's most celebrated composers and an early student of Jean Lyons. She wrote a piano composition called "Put On Your Running Shoes" that I found exciting to listen to.

Look up Claude Champagne, another Canadian composer whose composition — Quadrilha Braseleira — I found challenging to perform but I will never forget its incredibly strong and alluring melody.
